Creating art with a personal story behind it is always rewarding, but bringing a cherished memory to life for a friend is truly one of the most meaningful parts of crafting.

Recently, I had the privilege of making a custom polymer clay dragon as a special birthday gift for a dear friend. The piece was inspired by a tattoo on her wrist—a vibrant green dragon with purple wings—inked in loving memory of a beloved pony she lost.

To bring her tattoo off the page and into 3D form, I sculpted this little dragon with rich green, matching the purple wings and horns from her ink. Sitting tucked up and cozy.

Translating something so personal into a keepsake she can hold in her hand was such an honor. Happy birthday to my friend!
